If you read us regularly, you’ll notice that I love reporting on the brutal stuff here at Heavy Blog. I love me some post rock and smooth stuff but if it’s heavier than sin and loud as fuck then I can’t get enough. On that note, Vulvodynia were featured on the site as recently as last month where I professed my unchained love for their slamming death metal sounds. Well, they have a new song out and it rips. Get it after the jump.

“Superluminal Wormhole Divulgation” is yet another brutal, bouncing barrage of death metal inspired music. This track has a bit more of a playful vibe than the first to be released from Finis Omnium Ignorantiam. It is reminiscent of earlier deathcore acts but still has the modern, coldly calculated vibe to it. Its edges are sharp and its drops are deep. If you want to know a bit more about what’s going on in this particular track, in the scheme of the concept of Finis Omnium Ignorantiam, peep the band’s original Facebook post; you’ll also find preorder information there too.

Pretty interesting stuff! Silly fun, but I dig it. A YouTube user referred to the state of my mental health when I described Vulvodynia as “great death metal” earlier this week. If you can’t hear classic death metal in here then I dunno, maybe stop listening to music?
