Good news time: Wild Throne are still alive after last year’s excellent EP. This was one of the first things I reviewed for the blog (time flies!) and it was excellent. Apparently, the band have signed with Roadrunner Records, which is no small feat. I knew there was a summer release but not we have a date and a first track! Head on over the jump for your Mastodon/Mars Volta fix!
The stream is over at the good people of NPR, together with their dubious music player. Forgot that though, this track is great. Uncompromising in their dedication to speed, Wild Throne have definitely not only maintained their power but increased it. The bass near the end made me smile and those trademark vocals are as brilliant as ever.
The album, Harvest of Darkness, will be incoming on 18th of August. Rejoice!
