In light of recent events (like losing two essential band members), it seems The Faceless have decided to drop off of the their upcoming European tour with Protest the Hero and The Contortionist. While we’re still hearing nothing but crickets from the band’s Facebook page, Protest dropped an official statement Friday confirming what many fans feared was inevitable following the departure of both Alex Rüdinger (drums) and Evan Brewer (bass) near the end of October.
The good news? The show will go on. The tour will set out mid-November as planned, with The Safety Fire stepping up to fill out the roster, as confirmed on their own Facebook page on Friday.
The London natives were perhaps the obvious choice given their long-term friendship and tour history with Protest, and, of course, their European residency. Even so, this is one hell of an impressive last minute switcheroo!
What this means for the future of The Faceless remains to be seen, but European show-goers can rest easy knowing they’re still getting a heck of a lot of bang for their buck. Check out a full list of tour dates below and snag up some tickets while you can, this one’s going to be a doozy!
