We’ve posted about Cognizance a couple of times before, and now the UK-based tech-death outfit have just announced yet another release in the form of a new EP titled _Inceptum. The band have just recently finished up the recording process with Eyal Levi of Audiohammer studios, with the drums being handled by Alex Rüdinger of The Faceless and Conquering Dystopia. Mr. Rüdinger has worked with the group before on their debut EP Inquisition, and they recently released a short video detailing the drum recording process this time around. Check out the clip after the jump:
The band has a great track record so far and the new EP is sure to please fans of modern tech-death. Their past music brings to mind genre staples such as The Faceless’ Planetary Duality and Obscura‘s Omnivium, and this new release very well may turn out to be one of the best technical death metal albums to drop this year alongside the upcoming Fallujah record. We’ll keep you up to date on the new music, but in the meantime you can listen everything the band has already released on their bandcamp page:
