2016 has been quite the busy year for the Sumerian Records roster. The 10 Years in the Black Tour, featuring Bad Omens, Upon a Burning Body, After the Burial, I See Stars, Born of Osiris, and Asking Alexandria, was the final leg of Sumerian’s year-long series of tours celebrating the label’s 10th anniversary. Out of all of the Sumerian anniversary tours this past year, the 10 Years in the Black Tour was easily the most energetic and most crowded.

After the Burial performed its longest set in recent memory, with razor sharp precision, managing to encourage the first round of crowd-surfing fans of the night. Born of Osiris played four songs from The New Reign, which was a surprising treat for the crowd. Asking Alexandria rounded off the night with a high-energy set which, ironically, enough did not feature any songs from their new record, The Black, considering the inspiration behind the tour’s name. Danny Worsnop, who recently rejoined the band, put on a solid vocal performance and seemed to be at home back on stage with the rest of the band.
