Mutoid Man - Bleeder

OK, seriously, if you’re not hip to Mutoid Man and aren’t unbelievably stoked for their debut full-length album Bleeder, then I just don’t know what to do for you. We’ve written about them many times before, so at this point it would seem redundant to remind you that they boast in their ranks Ben Koller of freaking Converge and Stephen Brodsky of freaking Cave In. They’ve just released a face-ripping new song called “Sweet Ivy,” which you can and should listen to after the jump.

I’m not really sure when Rolling Stone became hip to underground metal, but hey, if they keep premiering songs from bands like Mutoid Man, I’m not going to complain. The song in question totally rules, and is as catchy as it is ferocious. Mutoid Man are masters of writing succinct and infectious riff-fests complete with insane drum acrobatics, and “Sweet Ivy” is a perfect example of this. Also, we’ve finally gotten our first glimpse of acclaimed illustrator Santos’ cover artwork for Bleeder, and it’s just as amazing as you’d expect it to be.

Bleeder is available for pre-order on iTunes. Hopefully physical pre-orders aren’t too far behind.
