Faith No More are bringing back the classics alongside their first North American tour in 19 years. Both 1989’s The Real Thing and 1992’s Angel Dust, considered to be pinnacles in the band’s short-but-influential discography, will be finding their way back into the hands of anxious buyers once again decades later.
With a new album on the way, it only feels right to dig deep with the records that made Faith No More the influential experimental masters they are recognized as today. Both reissues retain the original recordings of the albums, but will come with additional tracks and remixes of album favorites.
The expanded The Real Thing includes:
- Remixes of “Epic,” “From Out of Nowhere,” and “Falling to Pieces”
- Live versions of Black Sabbath‘s “War Pigs,” “Surprise, You’re Dead!” “Chinese Arithmetic,” “Underwater Love,” and “As the Worm Turns”
- B-sides “Cowboy Song” and “The Grade”
The expanded Angel Dust includes:
- Live tracks
- Alternate mixes
- Covers of Commodores’ “Easy” and Dead Kennedys’ “Let’s Lynch the Landlord”
Faith No More’s new album, Sol Invictus, their first in 18 years, will be out on May 19th, 2015 via the band’s own label, Reclamation Recordings/Ipecac Recordings.
Don’t miss Faith No More on tour (already underway) or on the second leg with Refused.
