KEN Mode - Success

Stop what you’re doing and peep this right now. KEN Mode have just released the first track from their upcoming Seasons Of Mist release and it is absolutely killer. ‘Blessed’ arrives attached to yet another glorious music video and you will struggle to find a better visual match to a song so intensely kinetic. Head over the jump and check the video before you read my gushing statement regarding how this band continue to blow my mind.

Premiered over at Noisey, ‘Blessed’ has the Juno award winners spewing an anti anthem crammed full of gargantuan riffs and slick, scything commentary from frontman Jesse Matthewson. Die hard fans will be all to aware of the band’s penchant for noise rock; their discography is spattered with influences from the likes of Melvins and Swans. Our first taste of Success definitely reeks of these influences in the nicest possible way. This is the KEN Mode that we know and love but turned up to a whole new level. Guest appearances by Eugene Robinson (Oxbow), Dylan Walker (Full Of Hell) and some ridiculous cello shredding by Natanielle Felicitas make this all the more magical.

Success can be preordered at several locations with release set for June 15th. KEN Mode will be touring Europe and the UK in April and May with several US and Canadian dates in June. A full list of preorder locations and tour dates can be seen below, courtesy of the band’s original Facebook post.
