We reported last year that System Divide, the melodic death metal group featuring members of Aborted and fronted by phenomenal female vocalist Miri Milman were going on an indefinite hiatus, which led to an announcement stating that the band was no more. This was a huge disappointment, because their one and only album The Conscious Sedation was nothing short of brilliant, and they were in the process of working on their follow up. Well, it seems as though System Divide has resurfaced under a new moniker and featurs a new female lead. Get your first taste of Oracles after the jump.
Oracles features the same exact last known line up of System Divide, including Sven de Caluwe, Mendel bij de Leij and Ken Bedene all from Aborted, only they’ve found a new and equally-talented female vocalist in the form of Sanna Salou, who was previously in the Greek goth metal band Dimlight. If the above sample is any indication, Oracles is very obviously a continuation of System Divide, and while it’s sad to think of the circumstances surrounding the demise of System Divide, it makes me extremely stoked to know we’ll be getting new music from this awesome group of musicians.
We’ll be sure to bring you more news regarding Oracles as it comes! In the meantime, listen to the 25 second teaser above over and over again and get stoked for the debut album from these guys!
