Kayo Dot, the progressive musical collective led by Toby Driver, have released a new song called ‘The Mortality of Doves’ off their forthcoming album Coffins on Io via NPR. Always the definition of progressive and rarely treading the same ground twice, Kayo Dot are consistently better than whatever you’re listening to right now, and this new track is no exception. Spanning eleven minutes and multiple styles, buoyed by an electronic undercurrent and topped by angelic vocals, Doves proves Kayo Dot aren’t content to rest on their laurels or become complacent after the fantastic previous album, Hubardo.
