Marty Eason, guitarist of WANZWA, released a few tracks from his new project, Mezonz. Harmonic Oscillator is a very crazy, chaotic mix of textures and technicality reminiscent of a lovechild between Animals as Leaders and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. This release is 3 tracks long and comes in at about 24 minutes long altogether. The bandcamp description sums this project up very well, “Two Atlanta musicians (Ryan Buck & Marty Eason) team up to bring a fresh sound to jazz/prog music. The right amount of jazz with a twist of electronic fusion. It is nice to see a group push the boundaries of the standard breakdowns and Superior Drummer samples that plague prog music by actually producing music that truly is like no other. If you want something good to listen to that will keep you guessing what they will do riff after riff, Harmonic Oscillator is for you.
