That puzzling countdown that we encountered at Coheed and Cambria‘s website last week? As suspected, the countdown culminated in an announcement that Coheed and Cambria were returning to the road. But this isn’t just any tour; the group will be performing their album In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 in its entirety. Even better, they’re bringing along Heavy Blog favorites Thank You Scientist! Yes good!
Those who entered their phone number into Coheed’s website during the countdown were called with a message hinting heavily towards the album, while urging fans to keep an eye out for a text message that will include a link to pre-sale information. For me, that additional text message never came after the phone call, but the link got out anyway.

I had my fingers crossed for a tour in which the band performed The Afterman double album from front to back, but no dice. I’m not too crazy on this record, but it’s really cool that they’re paying homage to the album and doing a bit of fan service for digging out the material and dedicating a tour to the record.
