As I’ve stated various times, I don’t always have to listen to heavy music. Sometimes I just love to listen to some catchy indie rock or emo stuff, or even some cool folk stuff if I’m feeling really relaxed. Bands such as The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To DieCirca Survive, and Foxing all come to mind, and they all scratch the necessary itch that I get from time to time. Facing are a young band out of Dublin who just so happen to scratch that itch as well, and their new double a-side is one hell of a collection of songs. Fortunately for us, we get to host an exclusive stream of it, which you can hear below!

The band effectively blend post-hardcore and alternative to create a really fun collection of songs that is every bit as catchy as it is relaxing. The vocals are what shines out the most to me, creating some great harmonies and just being absolutely stellar from start to finish. The dude has one hell of a voice, and I feel like it would be even more powerful to hear it live. Hopefully the band makes it over to the states sometime soon, because I could definitely see them on a bill with any of the above bands, and they would fit in perfectly. Follow the band on Facebook and check out their Bandcamp for more, and be sure to pick up the record when it drops, or even preorder it now!
