Moby Dick-themed German funeral doom quartet Ahab have announced the release of their fourth album, due for release via Napalm Records on August 28th, 2015.

The currently untitled five-track album (six if you count the bonus track) is an interpretation of the horror novel of William Hope Hodgson’s The Boats Of The Glen Carrig. You’re welcome to read the synopsis here on Wikipedia, or if you’d like to dig deep with that and other nautical adventures, grab the novel from Amazon.

The tracklist is as follows:

01. “The Isle”
02. “The Thing That Made Search”
03. “Like Red Foam (The Storm)”
04. “The Weedmen”
05. “To Mourn Job”
06. “The Light in the Weed (Mary Madison)” (bonus)

Again note that the album is NOT called The Boats Of The Glen Carrig, but is merely inspired by Hodgson’s work.

Ahab’s new record will be out on August 28th, 2015, but super limited editions including a 6-page Digipak + Bonus Track, a 2LP Gatefold edition, and a strictly limited Wooden Box Edition + Ultra Deluxe Canvas Edition will be available for pre-order starting June 18th.
