New Jersey natives Old Wounds have all the announcements this week. The metallic hardcore menaces will release The Suffering Spirit next month through Good Fight Music and have released the first track from the album, lovingly titled “Rest In Piss”. The announcements don’t stop there though as the band are taking Vein out on a short East Coast tour to coincide with the albums release. Get over the jump to peep the new track, find out more about the album and see if they are playing near you too.

“Rest In Piss” is as pleasant as one could expect. Brooklyn Vegan premiered the track which, taking off from their 2013 debut From Where We Came Is Where We’ll Rest, is pissed, punchy and above all else, hella good fun. This sounds huge too, with production by Andreas Magnusson, who some might know from his time in Scarlet and subsequent work with The Black Dahlia Murder. I always found Old Wounds to be one of the more accessible bands from this genre although saying that, these four young gents still provide plenty of focused aggression and mosh worthy mayhem.

Preorders are yet to surface online but we have a list of East Coast tour dates for you sweet folk below.

6/27 – Philadelphia, PA @ ASK A PUNK
6/28 – North Haven, CT @ Up All Night Collective
6/29 – Richmond, VA @ The Haunted Mansion
6/30 – Baltimore, MD @ Charm City Art Space
7/1 – Pittsburgh, PA @ The Roboto Project
7/2 – Asbury Park, NJ @ The Asbury Lanes
7/3 – Brooklyn, NY @ Saint Vitus
