Hamilton, Ontario’s illustrious melodic hardcore exports Counterparts unloaded a bombshell of gifts unto their fiending masses earlier yesterday. Preorders have gone up for Tragedy Will Find Us, the much anticipated follow-up to 2013’s The Difference Between Hell and Home, and their first release for Pure Noise/New Damage Records since separating from Victory earlier this year. The album release date is set for July 24, 2015. A whole host of bundle options are available here, as well as a video for new song ‘Burn’, which the band has been playing live during their recent US jaunt with Defeater. Honestly, what’s not to like here? The track explodes with great vocals only to then lead into an incredibly well written verse. The chorus is as emotional as can be expected from Counterparts and that semi-breakdown near the middle is insanely groovy. The spoken vocals, a mainstay of hardcore, are performed without irony an d are thus very convincing. All in all, we can’t wait for this to hit us all!
