Is melodic death metal a dying art or is it on a comeback? My thoughts on the genre change daily; it’s easy to think the genre’s in the gutter when you think of In Flames and the “modern metal” oversaturation the genre experienced over the last decade or so, but every now and then a band like Bloodshot Dawn comes along and breathes life into the style once more. It’s just hard to get excited anymore, you know?

Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum however have always been on the upper end of quality and have yet to wane or stagnate. These keepers of the flame will team up for a North American tour in late Summer that hits both A and B markets. Good news! They might hit a town within driving distance.
