Whitby-based progressive metalcore outfit Protest the Hero are seeking the help of fans to commemorate the tenth anniversary of their first studio album, Kezia, in an interesting new project. Entitled Kezia 10, this project aims to compile fan submissions of Kezia-era Protest memorabilia into a special edition scrapbook which will become available for purchase this fall.

While there are no restrictions on what to submit (even dick pics are permitted …kinda), the band has kindly listed some suggestions of what they’re looking for on the project’s webpage. Some examples include:

-photos
-ticket scans
-show posters
-album reviews
-show reviews
-maps of road trips taken to shows
-music video reviews
-fan art

As if the idea of having your own personal submission included in this scrap book isn’t incentive enough, the band is offering up prizes including “signed copies of the book, merch bundles, gear, and more” to randomly-selected contributors. All contributors will be thanked in the book, and the band plans to interview some of those who submit particularly neat material.

Simply put, this is an extremely cool spin on crowdsourcing that reiterates the sense of connection to their fanbase that Protest has always exhibited. Cruise on over to this location for the deets, and don’t miss out on your opportunity to contribute!
