defeated sanity US tour 2015

Germany’s Defeated Sanity are an amalgam of everything that makes extreme death metal worth listening to. Are they tech death? Are they slam? Does it even matter? The act made a name for themselves by simply being as outrageously heavy as possible. Once you’ve even remotely acquired the taste for brutal death metal, it’s easy to become a fan of Defeated Sanity. Unfortunately, once you’ve became a fan, you’re left with the disappointment that the band almost never makes it to North America and have to face the fact that you’re just going to have to take what you get.

That’s essentially where I’m at with the newly announced and long-awaited fully-fledged Defeated Sanity US tour with Skinned and Carnivore Diprosopus. The band touch down in California and stick to the West almost exclusively.

Here are the dates:

7/14 Sacramento, CA – The Colony
7/15 Bend, OR – Third Street Pub
7/16 Portland, OR – Tonic Lounge
7/17 Boise, ID – The Crazy Horse
7/18 Idaho Falls, ID – The Sickhouse
7/19 Colorado Springs, CO – Sunshine Studios
7/20 Omaha, NB – The Hideout
7/21 Little Rock, AR – MF Metal Music
7/22 Shreveport, LA – Hangar 21
7/23 Dallas, TX – Reno’s Chop Shop
7/24 Houston, TX – 19th Hole
7/25 Austin, TX – The Dirty Dog
7/26 Midland, TX – Kamiposi
7/27 Amarillo, TX – Yellow City Bomb Shelter
7/28 Albuquerque, NM – The Armory
7/29 El Paso, TX – Basement S7
7/30 Phoenix, AZ – Rogue Bar
7/31 Las Vegas, NV – LV Saloon
8/1 Los Angeles, CA – The Airliner
8/2 San Diego, CA – Brick By Brick
8/3 Ventura, CA – The Tavern
8/4 Ceres, CA – The Workshop

It’s a massive bummer that the group are staying out West, but it’s the band’s first US trek in years so it’s hard to be mad, even if they couldn’t make it to the other half of the country. If you’re in the region and the band lands close, don’t take this tour for granted and make it out!

Fortunately, we have a new Defeated Sanity record to look forward to later this year. Get a taste of things to come with the band’s new track ‘Generosity of the Deceased’ below.
