Down Conjure

New Orleans’ Down is just about the only supergroup that has lived up to the sum of its parts. The chemistry between these seasoned veterans with a stacked pedigree (Pantera, Eyehategod, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, Goatwhore, and a ton more) is simply impossible to deny. While they’ve been hyping the release of their four EPs for years now and have only released two of them, they’ve been slowly announcing shows and have just unleashed a brand new music video for “Conjure,” and the results are glorious. Check it out below:

It definitely looks like frontman Phil Anselmo had his hands all over the direction of the video, as it’s incredibly inspired by various cult horror flicks of the 60s and 70s (after all, Anselmo hosts the Housecore Horror Fest yearly now). The visuals matched with Down’s trademark doom metal aesthetic certainly makes for one hell of an overall experience. Hopefully 2015 will see the rise of yet another installment in the EP series. We’ll definitely be reviewing it when it drops.
