Kansas City young guns Existem wowed us back in 2012 with their Years of Winter debut LP. It was everything we love to hear from a young, promising band. The band have been hard at work lately, however, recording their upcoming Phoenix EP for release in about a week on February the 16th. The time has come for some new music, however. A few weeks back, I received an early pre-production version of a new song. It lacked the vocals, but still sounded absolutely ridiculously catchy. It’s finished now, though, and we here at Heavy Blog Is Heavy are proud to bring you the exclusive premiere of thesingle from their EP, entitled ‘Epitaph’. Check it out below!

I’ve been fortunate enough to hear all four songs on the EP, and I can tell you that it’s definitely worth listening to. It’s going to be one of the best EPs released this year, for certain. In regards to the new single, and their EP, guitarist / vocalist Chris Gochis had this to say:

“We are very excited to premier the first track off our new EP, Phoenix. This EP puts a different spin on the Existem sound, and we are very pleased with the result! Now, please enjoy “Epitaph” and remember, it sounds best when you crank it!”

You heard the man. Crank that prog up!

Be sure to keep up with the band on Facebook, and download their EP when it comes out! In the meantime, you can get all of their music for whatever price you choose over at their bandcamp page.
