Cynic - Kindly Bent To Free Us

Kindly Bent To Free Us, the highly anticipated follow up Cynic‘s 2008 comeback album Traced in Air, is set to make for a lovely Valentine’s Day for North America when it drops via Season of Mist. Those that can’t wait for the release date however can get in the romantic mood a week early thanks to Prog Rock Magazine, who are now streaming the album in its entirety.

It’s not a shock to anyone at this point, but the metallic edge to the band is even further worn down into psychedelic rock territory with Kindly Bent To Free Us. Dark, moody, and mysterious is starting to give way to kaleidoscopic happy-go-lucky prog, and while not everyone’s too happy about the change, new Cynic is always good Cynic, even if it’s 2high4u.

Keep an eye out for our review in the coming week. In the mean time, you can pick up the album for pre-order at this location.
