I’m in a huge sludge/stoner metal phase at the moment, probably due in part to the new song that H A R K released last week, and now the Welsh rockers have released another new track off of their forthcoming album Crystalline that continues to perpetuate that itch. ‘Black Hole South West’ is streaming over at Lambgoat. Go have a listen.

I gotta say, this song rules even more than the last one. Aside from the badass hook, the main riff that the song breaks into is super chunky and channels all that is great about sludge. Jimbob Issac is probably one of the more underrated musicians in the sludge scene; if you don’t know what I’m talking about, go give his old band Taint a listen.

Pre-orders for Crystalline are live. Besides the CD digipack, there are also several LP options. Unfortunately, the white with brown and blue splatter is already sold out, but they still have a blue and a brown vinyl option available. Vinyl enthusiasts best get on that before they’re all gone, too!

Crystalline is out March 18th via Season of Mist.
