Writing the words "Abrams return" gives me so much joy. Every one of their last releases, over the past few years, have been raucous albums. These are always filled with everything I love about the poppier, sweeter side of stoner that Abrams have been exploring over that period of time. Now, the band have released (today!) "Last Nail", their first single from their upcoming album, Loon, and it looks like I'm not going to be disappointed this time either. The track is just a little less than four minutes of rocking, grooving stoner rock and that's all I wanted. Scroll down below to check it out!
Every time I hear one of Abrams' tracks, I can't help but imagine them swinging their guitars around on stage, in tune with the chords. "Last Nail" has that at its core, a pretty straight-forward track which nonetheless oozes with the Abrams passion and heart that I've grown to love. I especially love the more "scattered" guitar tones employed near the end of the track, culminating in noisy outro that sends us out wanting more.
