Happy Wednesday, everyone! The middle of the week is normally the time when boredom is at its all time high, as the mundane work week plods along, seemingly with no end in sight. However, here at Heavy Blog Is Heavy, we don’t believe in having a “case of the Wednesdays”, and its my job to help you break out of your funk! Today, I’m happy to premiere the brand new full stream of the new album from New Yorkers The Lysine Contingency, which you can check out below!

The album is one giant amalgamation of progressive metal, djent, and deathcore. It’s a really cool release from a very young band. There’s still some work to be done to refine their sound, however, namely with the clean vocals. At times they don’t seem to fit with the rest of the song. However, this is simply a way of using further releases to help them harness a sound that clean vocals can really lend themselves to. The music itself speaks volumes about the band, and you can hear influences from all across the board. Its clear that these dudes are extremely ready to unleash their new record to the world, and it’s time they did. Be sure to check out the band on Facebook for upcoming tour dates and other news, and pick up the album when it drops this Friday!

The lysine contingency is intended to prevent the spread of the animals in case they ever get off the island. Dr. Wu inserted a gene that makes a single faulty enzyme in protein metabolism. The animals can’t manufacture the amino acid lysine. Unless they’re continually supplied with lysine by us, they’ll slip into a coma and die.
