As many of you already know, we’re pretty big fans of David Maxim Micic around here. It’s hard to deny that the man is talented, but on top of simply that, his music is fulfilling to listen to. It’s fun, it’s emotional, it’s well-written—it’s good.
A couple of months ago, we made mention that Micic would be releasing two EPs, titled EGO and ECO. As of now, they are both released. What we couldn’t tell you is that Dan Wieten from The Omega Experiment, and a moonlighter on Heavy Blog, would be appearing on the second EP, ECO.
Now that it’s out, however, we can talk about it all we want! He appears on the second track of the EP on a track called “Satellite” where he wrote and recorded all the lyrics and vocals over Micic’s work. The track also features a ripping solo from Haken/To-Mera‘s Richard Henshall!
If you’re not familiar with Micic’s work, these EPs are probably as good a place to start as any. Anyone who appreciates solid progressive style music should be experiencing this. We’ve linked both ECO and EGO via Bandcamp below for your listening and purchasing pleasure.
