In case you haven’t noticed, the hype machine for the new Ghost record Meliora is in full swing. The band are controversial and highly divisive among the metal community, but we here at Heavy Blog are very much on the pro-Ghost side of the line; the group’s Satanic theatrics are hilarious, and the music is enough to hold up without the gimmick.
Given the group’s worldwide success, it’s not surprising that the group would waste no time booking a massive trek across North America in support of Meliora. Ghost will be teaming up with support act Purson for the “Black To The Future” tour. Get dates below.

This run of dates should provide many fans with the opportunity to see the band live for the first time. It goes without saying that Ghost are an act to behold. I’ve got my eyes on the Columbus date.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 12th at 10am local times. Select dates will also include digital redemption codes of Meliora before the official release. Check with the promoter for your local date to see if your ticket comes with the download code.
Ahead of the tour announcement, Ghost have also unveiled a music video for Meliora lead single “Cirice.” It’s a performance video that shows off the Papa Emeritus III and the new masks for the Nameless Gouls, and it’s more than just a little bit silly. Check it out below.
People get upset over this band. Can you believe it?
Meliora is due out August 21st through Loma Vista Recordings. Pre-orders are available at this location.
