Tech death tenderfoots Abiotic are gearing up to release their sophomore album Casuistry next month, and in the mean time, guitarists John Matos and Matt Mendez have filmed a play-through for lead-single “The Absence of Purity.” The video was premiered exclusively through Guitar World and can be viewed after the jump.
This is a pretty standard example of the genre, both in video and in music. Matos and Mendez clearly have enough chops to appease tech death fans, with Matos going on to explain that Casuistry shows the band attempting to create an album that is “More focused and more about composition, create something where every track would captivate listeners in a different way, and make it as dark, melodic and punishing as possible.”
