Brutal tech death masters Defeated Sanity have been poised for a killer 2015, with the impending rare occurrence of a United States headlining tour and a half slam / half prog studio album on the horizon. With so much on the itinerary, one would assume that the band had all their ducks in a row, fully prepared for the madness to come. It turns out however that vocalist Konstantin Lühring  just couldn’t commit to the heightened activity due to change in employment, and the band are now in search for a new frontman.

The band addressed the issue via Facebook, and named a temporary replacement:

We just recently announced our first extended US tour since 7 years. Unfortunately our vocalist Konni can’t commit to do any more touring due to changes of his employment conditions. He will however play all confirmed shows this year except the US tour.

We are saddened by this and would like to thank Konni for all the awesome shows and moments we had. There are still the Flesh Party in Slovakia, Brutal Assault in Czech Republic and the Berlin Deathfest if you want to see him with us one last time!

So… WE ARE NOW OFFICIALLY SEARCHING FOR A NEW VOCALIST!

If you think you are the right guy, please send us a private link to a video or audio recording of you covering any of our songs. Ideally you are from Germany, but we consider everything an option.

For the US tour we would like to introduce to you JOSH WELSHMAN from AUTONOMY as a session vocalist. He impressed us with his performances of our songs that he has up on Youtube and will surely do a great job live!

Now please spread the word and hopefully we will find the right guy for this vacancy soon!

If you’ve got what it takes or know anyone who does and can commit to being in one of the best death metal bands around, make some noise into a microphone and ship it over to the band’s Facebook page.

Hopefully this doesn’t mean a delay for the group’s new outing. Fingers crossed Konni sticks around to see the record to completion.
