The excellent Title Fight have announced that their brand new album, Hyperview, will be released February 3rd, 2015. It will be distributed through Anti Records, who signed the band in July of this year. With the announcement of the album came a video for it’s first single, ‘Chlorine’. Let’s just say that you might not want to take a boat trip any time soon after watching it. With that in mind, take a dive right in after the jump!
This track definitely leans towards the more dreamy side of the band, but isn’t afraid of dissonance. Some of the guitar parts are downright harsh, but in a way that doesn’t grate on my ears for longer than it’s supposed to before returning to the shoegaze elements that make up a majority of the track. I specifically keep coming back to the guitar part at 2:13 because it’s just so damn good. As a fan of the band, I’m really enjoying this song and video. The video has an interesting concept and is certainly worth watching, if only for the concept alone. Luckily, its soundtrack isn’t half bad, either.
