For a more casual fan of the band, the last few times we’ve featured Opeth we have seen them drop eyebrow raising tour announcements and release a great but not special record. This bit of news is pretty cool though as the Swedish prog overlords are set to play a one off, two-set show at the London Palladium to celebrate two separate anniversaries. More details after the jump. Where else?

Opeth will be celebrating their silver anniversary of their troubled yet sensual commitment with their fans by playing a set comprising classics from their twenty five year career. Keep it in your pants guys, that is not all. 2015 will also be a decade Opeth last released an album that made an effort on date night. This does mean that they will be playing Ghost Reveries from start to finish, warts and all.

Opeth are a band I’ve tried to put more time into in the past after binging on them at an earlier age but it’s unquestionable how large a fan base they have. Tickets went on sale today for general admission and the ever present “super deluxe fan ultra package” at the normal rate of £150. If there are still tickets for this get them at this locale. Here’s some Ghost Reveries to keep you ticking if you missed out super fan.
