Rivers of Nihil’s debut last year, The Conscious Seed of Light, was one of the most impressive debuts of recent years. The technical ability merged with a dedication to song writing breed an addictive album unlike no other. The band have been extremely active since its release and have now released a video for ‘Mechanical Trees’, one of the tighter tracks on the album, in this writer’s opinion. The video is quite simple, featuring just shots of the band playing the song in some sort of super lit place. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as the video often couples as a play through in some of the more technical parts. The band definitely has good energy together, which is not surprising considering they’ve been playing together for more than five years. In short, check this out for the band’s staple dynamics, mind-blowing death metal and awesome power.
