Last week, Circa Survive gave us the opening track from their brand new album Descensus, entitled ‘Schema’, as well as a video to go along with it. It looks as if they are doing the same for us this week with a rather interesting visual for their new song, ‘Only the Sun’. If you can stand the heat, be sure to take a listen to the track after the jump.
Instrumentally, this song sounds like it carries the spirit of On Letting Go with pride. The vocals are in Anthony’s newer style, but they work very well with this throwback instrumental. The little electronic elements buried in the background are a very nice touch for this song, as well. This song paired with ‘Schema’ definitely suggests that this album will have all types of different moods and space to explore, which is great, because Circa are no strangers to dynamics and I’m glad that this new album has that on display for everyone to see. November 24th seems too far away right now.
