From Glass Casket to Trioscapes and Orbs, members of Between the Buried and Me are always working on fascinating side projects. Singer and keyboardist Tommy (Giles) Rogers is no exception with his 2011 solo project Pulse. A preview of the follow-up to that record after the jump.

The Thomas Giles Pulse record may be the least metal record Metal Blade ever released. Filled with catchy melodies and playful if sometimes delightfully twisted lyrics, Pulse exposed another aspect of the BTBAM frontman’s creativity.

Now the Giles project is back with a sequel to Pulse called Modern Noise due in stores around Thanksgiving again on Metal Blade.

The man I still call Tommy tells me writing music like this is a lot of fun.

“This album was a very natural writing process for me and I think it gives the listener a very personal extension of myself. Hopefully this small glimpse into “Modern Noise” will make people want to hear more.”

So check it out, here’s “Mutilated World.”
