There are countless young and new bands out there today trying to make a name for themselves, with most of them doing a pretty poor job of it. Sifting through dozens of mediocre groups can be completely worth it though, when you come across one who’s music truly shines with talent and quality. Kentucky-based The Earth Laid Bare play a melodically charged brand of progressive deathcore, and they are one of those bands that make it all worthwhile. Back in April they dropped their EP Circadian Rhythms, which is a stunning debut packed full of technical melodies and crushing heaviness. Behold:

Since putting out their first release the band have steadily been building a fan base and generating some buzz. Coming up on October 21st, the group will be performing on the ‘Hell Or High Wattage’ tour at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY alongside some big names, perhaps the most exciting of which is Black Crown Initiate. It’s a great opportunity for these guys so be sure to catch the show if you’re in the area. Don’t be surprised if you see this group blowing up in the near future if they keep up like this. Let’s hope they’re busy working on a full-length album for us, and in the meantime keep up with them on facebook.
