Dead Letter Circus Release Acoustic EP Out Of Nowhere

DLC
Press, PR, media, hype, social networks. Who needs all of this nonsense? Certainly not Dead Letter Circus, as the Australian alternative progressive band have released a new EP via iTunes, out of the blue. Not only that, but this EP will feature acoustic versions of tracks from their previous album, The Catalyst Fire. Dubbed Stand Apart, this EP is certainly a surprise move but perhaps one to be expected from a varied and intriguing band such as them.

I got the chance to listen to a few of the tracks and I must say that I like it. Instead of simply making the original songs acoustic, the band have rearranged, shifted and sometimes recomposed tracks to make them more fitting for this release. Definitely pick up this album for a fresh look on one of the best band to emerge from the land down under in recent years.

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
