Spain’s top metal export Wormed have a history of taking ages to come out with music. First forming in 1998, the group’s first proper full-length Planisphærium didn’t see the light of day until 2006. From there, the band took seven years (!!) to bounce back with their sophomore release Exodromos in 2013. Sure, they had a stop-gap in their 2009 EP Quasineutrality, but even still, the band’s album cycles are much longer than average.
Fortunately, the most recent album cycle looks like it’ll be your typical two-year wait, as the band are eying 2015 for their third full-length studio album.
Obviously, there isn’t quite a lot of news to tell just yet, but the band took to Facebook to reassure fans that new music is in the works.
“We’re writing a bunch of blasting and hyper cosmic trippy tunes for our upcoming 3rd album. Prepare yourself for the next inhuman and technological abomination of WORMED.
“2015… the year of Krighsu.”
There you have it! New Wormed next year via Season of Mist. In the mean time, get reacquainted with 2013 highlight Exodromos below.
