Profound Lore Records has revealed the cover of the upcoming The Atlas Moth album, The Old Believer.

Well, only half of it, apparently. “This is only HALF of the cover for “The Old Believer” out June 10th on Profound Lore,” said vocalist/guitarist Stavros Giannopoulos. Profound Lore themselves elaborated, “This is what it will look like prior to immersing it in water.” Interesting to see where else this cover goes, as it looks marvelous enough as-is.

The cover was shot by Hank Pearl using model Darja Väärsi, and edited by Ryan Clark of Invisible Creature.

The Old Believer is the follow-up to 2011’s An Ache For The Distance, which wound up being one of our editor’s favorite albums that year. If The Old Believer continues in those footsteps, it is surely to make a dent in 2014 as well. Expect some new music in the coming weeks.
