The UK festival scene is great — that’s not a brag, it’s just pretty much a fact. Between Bloodstock, Damnation and the newly born Temples Fest, we’re spoilt for choice. But that hasn’t stopped more and more popping up.
Take for instance, Arctangent, which in itself isn’t precisely a metalfest, but one more geared towards the semi-related worlds of post-rock and math rock. Naturally, the crossover is there, with bands likeDragged Into Sunlight
,Bossk
andBaby Godzilla
all making appearances in it’s relatively short lifetime — making it one of the more interesting options for metalheads with their ear to the ground for great music that may not always make the rounds in the metal world.Just last night, the festival announced their biggest bands yet in the form of headliners Russian Circles and This Will Destroy You — both bands that fans of the festival have been calling for for a while now. So alongside bands such as Fen, Jamie Lenman, And So I Watch You From Afar and the previously mentioned and returning Baby Godzilla, it’s all pointing towards a great festival for those of you in the UK looking for something a little more left of field.
