Fans of Aborted, rejoice: the recording sessions for the band’s highly anticipated upcoming album The Necrotic Manifesto are wrapping up, and mixing is about to begin. Not only that, the band announced via Facebook that the album will feature Phlegethon from sci-fi obsessed Spanish brutal death stalwarts WORMED and Vincent Bennett from everyone’s favorite deathcore band, The Acacia Strain.
From the band’s Facebook page:
As we are mixing and finally received all of the guest vocals here’s a little announcement for you all. We had the pleasure to have our friends Vince from The Acacia Strain and Phlegethon from WORMED lay down some guest vocals on the album and it turned out way sick! Get ready for the most brutal and shredtastic Aborted album to date!
I don’t know about you guys, but this fantastic news. The prospect of both of these guys being featured on an Aborted album make me all randy and stuff. I, for one, cannot wait to hear this new album. There’s no official release date yet, but album release shows point to late March/ early April.
If, like me, you’re champing at the bit to hear new material, Aborted will be embarking on an East Coast tour with Pyrexia at the end of March, and after that, they’ll be hitting some of the Eastern states as well as Canada as support for Kataklysm. They’re bound to play some new jams while out on the road. Get dates for both tours here.
