It’s been four years since we’ve heard a full-length album from post-black metal progenitors Agalloch. The much acclaimed Marrow of the Spirit was released back in 2010 and the 2012 Faustian Echoes single did hold us over, but it’s been too long. Fortunately, 2014 will not only see the release of the band’s fifth full-length album, but frontman John Haughm has revealed that the new album has already been completed.
Pending the artwork and packaging, it’ll then be up to their label Profound Lore to set a release date and announce further details. Hopefully they won’t sit on the album for too long, because all this talk of polar vortexes and subzero temperatures could certainly be augmented by some new Agalloch jams.
More info when we get it!
