Now, I don’t know about y’all, but I love me some thall. There’s something intangibly different and more exciting for me about the sheer amount of dissonance and crushing heaviness that bands like Vildhjarta and Through Lifeless Eyes provide, and following up on their self-titled album from 2013, Humanity’s Last Breath has once again proved that they have exactly what it takes to take one of the head seats at the djenty roundtable.
Humanity’s Last Breath has set themselves squarely on the melodic side in the past, using their much more focused and precise songwriting to carve a spot for them, and here, it’s no different. This new track, “Beware”, is equal parts crushing and precise, one half sledgehammer and one half scalpel. Get ready to be destroyed by this song.
“Beware” is the first track off an upcoming EP this year. So far, a release date has not been announced.
