Xerath Reveal ‘I Hold Dominion’ From Upcoming Album III

We’ve been talking a lot about Xerath‘s upcoming album, III, due to release on September the 16th. That’s because we’re frankly super excited for it, among making of videos, bass play-throughs and other tidbits. Now, the band has released a full track off the upcoming album, which you can check out right after the jump. What are you waiting for?

This track just gets me even more excited. From the symphonic beginning, right through the slow build up near the two minute mark and all the way to the climatic ending, this track is simply amazing. There’s a strong Devin Townsend vibe off of everything, especially the vocals and the operatic quality the entire arrangement possesses. It’s not lacking in groove either, with the bass setting an excellent baseline for the rest of the stuff to take off. In short, our first taste of III has not disappointed. Stay tuned as we near release, as the band are sure to have more tidbits for us.

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
