This is a very official blog, with very official opinions, deep dives, and proud nerdery. As a writer, I should have very official, formal thoughts to share about the latest track from in:tides…but all I have to say is holy sh*t this is beautiful.
It’s rare that a post-metal album can cascade across the full range of post-metal, shoegaze, and even hints of dream pop, yet “Apparitions” does so with fluid ease. An early track on in:tides’ upcoming debut, the song seemingly floats into full form as delicate melodies collect strands of hazy atmospheres and soaring emotion until it sears itself into your consciousness.
Layers of warm emotional resonance are carefully bolstered by haunting riffs, becoming heavy with feeling without losing their original glow. By the time “Apparitions” reaches its final form, we’re swimming in a bittersweet current that embraces mournful and glimmering tones with equal abandon.
In:tides’ self-titled debut album will be released on November 20, 2026 by Ripcord Records. Pre-order the digital album or CD on Bandcamp.
