Alright, do you remember when you were young (exact age depending on when you were born, but for me it was from around age 10 and all the way through my teens) and you stayed up way too late to watch MTV 2? There was a lot of great music on there and even more great music videos. One of the coolest styles from back then is the stop-motion video, which featured usually gothic and/or horror visuals. There are too many examples to count; I'm sure you've seen at least a few. Well, what if I told that we're premiering a sick video in that tradition today? Set to some absolutely killer grind? And the track is anti-fascist to boot? Too good to be true, you might say. Well it just so happens to be true! Scroll on down below to check out the absolutely incredible video for Nequient's new single, "Christofascist Zombie Brigade"!
Damn, damn, damn! I don't really don't know what's cooler: the amount of work and dedication that was put into sourcing the sets for this video, the amount of attention needed to actually make it, or the absolutely killer music that it's set to. My favorite moment is probably that downtuning bass riff around the one minute and a half mark, immediately into the fucked up imagery of the pig being led by a bayonet to an all seeing eye television set? But it's hard to choose because there's also that weird, Tool-esque face, the absolutely killer vocals, the wall of hands, or the sick, buzz-saw guitar riffs.
It's a veritable cornucopia of grind and camp aesthetics, all blending into one excellent whole. All this horrible joy comes to us from Avarice, the band's upcoming release that's dropping on April 24th. Head on here to pre-order it!
