Heavy Blog has the privilege of being a partner in this live-stream performance from Moloken; Swedish post-metal juggernauts. Their January release Unveilance of Dark Matter was a sneaky behemoth of sombre sludge metal, one which I found incredibly uplifting; surprising, considering the crushing and bleak nature of their music. Today the band perform live in their hometown of Umeå, with a production and crew befitting the most intense of live performances. No crowd? No problem. Head on over the jump to check out the stream.

Arranged by Producenterna and filmed in the city’s Väven venue, the performance is hosted by Niklas RG Gustafsson & Johan Norström (Katapult, Terrortory). Presented by The Sign Records, Reverend Guitars Sweden, Program i Väven, and, of course, Heavy Blog Is Heavy, Moloken’s performance is also sponsored by Umeå Energi, Ume Audio, and Ljud Montage.
These live stream performances are rarely as well put together or as professional as this one, so you shouldn’t settle for second best going forward. This should be regarded as a benchmark for what can be achieved during this global situation. It can be done! Moloken just proved that.
