Happy Monday everyone! As usual, we’re starting off this week with a banger of a premiere, which, at this point, has become a fairly regular thing for us. I love doing these premieres early in the week, because a lot of times they’re so great that I want you to hear them as early as possible. Today, we have the debut of a brand new Virvum track, which is also the title track of their upcoming album Illuminance. Check it out!
This song is extremely complex in both composition and performance. The lyrics are screamed at an extremely fast pace, and the instruments all have to work around one another to create something other than one giant cacophony of sounds. The small flourishes of “downtime” in the song also help make this song killer, giving the listener a small break before kicking right back into some killer tech death. This is definitely a sick song, and the album promises to be even better. While the band has been around since 2007, this is by far their most impressive song to date, and I am very excited to see what the future has in store for them. Be sure to check out the band on Facebook and preorder the album here!
