Philadelphia’s Union Transfer hosted two legendary bands, who both happened to be celebrating very quintessential albums. First up was Earth, who are celebrating the release of Penstar: In The Style of Demons, which came out 20 years ago. Those who have seen Earth live can attest that their performances are quite special. It’s easy to get immersed in everything they project. A personal favorite see live. Boris took the stage after Earth, celebrating over ten years of their album, Pink, which they recently reissued, including a bunch of unreleased songs, or “Forbidden Songs” as they call them on the reissue. To celebrate the reissue of Pink, Boris performed most of the album, including some of the “Forbidden Songs”, and their show was a perfect mix of upbeat punk-like jams, elongated drone bits, all while keeping true to their experimental style. Do not miss this tour, it’s indeed a great one. Enjoy the photos below!
