On June 5th, 2015, following the Noisem/Angel Du$t/Iron Reagan show, the legendary hardcore punk band Refused played a last minute “secret” show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn at 12:30 AM. Opening the show was chaotic hardcore outfit Primitive Weapons from Brooklyn, New York. Be sure to catch them on the 4 day tour with Mutoid Man and The Dillinger Escape Plan coming up in a couple weeks. Next up was Refused. Before this show, they performed a sold out show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. The show at Saint Vitus was awesome because they played their own songs, some Fugazi covers, some Snapcase covers, some Black Flag covers, even a Black Sabbath cover.

Be sure to pick up Refused’s new album, Freedom, (first one in 17 years!) on June 30th via Epitaph Records. And be sure to catch them on tour with Faith No More this August. Check out the pictures below!

About The Author

A recent graduate of Nassau Community College with an associates degree in liberal arts, Mark is currently a freelance photographer in the Long Island/New York City area (but travels frequently, especially if the job is worth it), and is constantly churning out riffs with his grindcore band, Blame God (who’s even playing with NAILS in March 2017). Aside from that, he is constantly searching for new bands to check out and attending/photographing shows.
