Slipknot Rumors Laid To Rest By Chris Adler

You’ve got that right folks: it would have been nice if the rumors were true, but Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler was not the drummer in that much debated Slipknot track. Of course, the question of the actual identity of said drummer still remains a mystery but it appears that, despite style analysis, it was not Adler. Read what Chris himself had to say about the whole thing, after the jump.

“I’ve received even more questions about my involvement with Slipknot since the ABC interview I did recently. The interview was originally about my new whiskey bar, but of course took a turn into the gossip of the day. As I told her, I’ve had and have nothing to do with it. I’m flattered with the association and comparisons, but I have no involvement in their record.”

There you have it. Chris Adler is one of the best metal drummers of all time but it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer to hear some new stuff from his ferocious style. Hopefully, it’s sooner rather than later.

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
